Marcy Garcea, Sustained Renewal
I became a coach after battling with postpartum depression for many years. I was a stay-at-home Mother, with three young children and when I “came out” of my depression, I realized I had not been living in my values. I was not living as the core person I was meant to be. I had acquired too much baggage from other people and picked up my own during my life, that I had no idea who was really underneath. I had been in therapy, and counseling many times, but they were never quite getting to what I knew was under all of my baggage, but couldn’t really see. I started coaching school and it showed me that we all acquire so many issues that are not really our own by living up to others’ expectations and ideals. My coaching is about striping away all of those things that are not serving you any more and getting down to who you really are by figure out what makes you, you. Looking at the unique values you have and living in your own unique gifts from those values. We need to get back to connecting and being who we were born to be, not what others want us to be. I can help anyone, but I know about being a woman in transition and those are the people I am reaching out to first. Women and the glass ceiling, women and the option of working or staying home, women who are mothers going back to work. They all need help in getting through the muck and sharing who they are meant to be. I want to be that person, to work with them and with their spouses to help them support each other as who they were born to be. This is my gift to the world, I want to share it with everyone.
